SafetyNet is a web-based neighbourhood policing and case management toolset, currently working across different
agencies to successfully reduce crime and disorder within the community.
With the objective of promoting safer
neighbourhoods and monitored neighbourhood policing, the SafetyNet product for
Police and CDRP's is best described
as an enabling tool to help reduce local crime. Designed to supply all the requirements
of neighbourhood policing in one easy to use package, the system offers numerous
benefits to the members of Police Forces including enabling partners to
contribute information into the works streams directly. This, in turn, promotes
improved partnership working and improved accountability, while addressing
issues surrounding crime and enabling the use of information gathered from
multiple sources to assist the community.
Case studies conducted on the effectiveness
of the use of this software have shown that it is particularly successful and
focuses attention on areas of improvement around acquisitive crime.
With the information gathered regular crime hot spots and crime
trends can be detected and monitored. The data can be used to trace vital
addresses, non-addressable places, reverse geo-coding and finding nearby places.
The feature-rich Case Management module, allows effective case tracking,
evidence submission and management across the areas of Antisocial Behaviour,
Integrated Offender Management, Victim/Vulnerable persons, MARAC/Domestic
Violence. |
